Getting started
How MimiChat works
Start by choosing who makes the introduction. Open the online list to pick someone yourself, or choose video, voice, or text matching and let the app pair you.

Choose a route
For a direct call, look for the video call option on an online profile. To meet someone at random, open matching and pick the type of conversation you want.
Review the prompt
The app may ask you to sign in or grant access to your devices. When the app shows a rate or coin balance, check it before continuing.
End the session when you’re ready
Use the in-call or matching controls to leave. If nobody answers, return to the list or choose matching. If a call fails, check your browser’s device permissions before you retry.

I want to pick who I call
Open the online list, check the actions shown on a profile, and read any prompt before confirming the call. Keep browsing if someone is busy, unavailable, or does not answer.

Open matching, choose video, voice, or text, and follow the account or device prompts for that mode. You can leave while waiting or end a conversation when you are ready.

Use voice if you can speak and are comfortable giving the browser microphone access. Use text when you are in a shared room or want to chat without granting either permission.
See how text matching worksCommon questions
How do I get started without a camera?
Choose voice or text matching. Voice uses a microphone. Text needs neither device.
What if someone does not answer my call?
Go back to the online list and choose another person, or try matching. Online status does not guarantee an answer.
Do I get the same prompt for every conversation?
The prompt can depend on your account and the entry you use. Check the device permissions, rate, and balance each time the service asks you to confirm.
Where should I start if a call fails?
Identify whether the problem is your own camera, microphone, what you hear, or the connection. Then use the troubleshooting guide for that symptom before retrying.
