The MimiChat guidebook

Chat guides

Choose how to meet someone, check your privacy settings, or fix a call before you try again.

Where should you start?

Use the comparison when you are choosing a service. Use the safety and device guides when you already know how you want to chat.

Decide whether you want a camera, a microphone, or text. Then compare how the services find a partner and what they ask you to share.

Check what is visible behind you, what your microphone can pick up, and how to leave or report a conversation.

Start with the part that failed. A black camera preview, missing sound, and a frozen picture point to different checks.

Compare

Compare how services pair people, which devices they need, and what to check before joining.

Privacy

Keep personal information off camera and know when to end a call, block, or report.

Troubleshooting

Find out whether the issue is the browser, your device permissions, or the connection.
